Carbon fiber titanium diffuser Automotive application

Very nice!!  I love the use of metal in woodworking!  Sometimes it can offset the chunky design of all wood, the visual contrast in materials and depending on the design, it can float the wood parts.  I wish I had the tools and knowledge to incorporate it myself.

Curious about the diffuser, is there any functional purpose to that or simply aesthetics? I admire the workmanship but don't understand the project. But that black pipe/wood shelf totally grabs my attention, never seen anything like it.

Great stuff.

Heh-heh. I showed my wife the vanity bench and she shook her head and said "Don't you get any ideas."

thanks everyone! ya for the most part its just for looks, its a hot item in the car industry right now cause its actually using race car technology watered down for street use. its supposed to smooth out wind drag while reducing turbulence behind the car to increase down force. of course this would take place at 150mph lol...but im like who cares it looks cool haha.  ya i got the pipe wood shelving idea from others on etsy.  you can get creative with it and extend add on to any sizing you need...but those lil bits and pieces adds up! i think all the fitting cost me around 35-40 but look like 30 mins to make :P

i think and my next project would involve a concrete form to make a simple patio cafe table. i get bored of a chunk of wood project easy  [sad]

Welcome to the FOG!

Those are some sharp looking projects.  [cool]

Some cool ideas always great to see a fresh look into woodworking. I do not know why but when I saw your work I thought about some Kerei? tiles that are dirt cheap on SD Craigslist. I see you have a lot of bamboo and different materials. I have been dying to use them but they just don't fit our house right now. Search "reclaimed" in SD Craigs materials section. They have cool coconut tiles. I know, you have to see them to understand.

I was big into Hot Rod metal work and those tools make Festool look like dollar store items.

Get some wider tires and add a little camber, sorry just don't get that look. Never thought form should over ride function. Diffuser is cool.

thanks! ya i was big in hotroding like hill billy style quarter mile drag racing with some fatties. it was my first passion but i quickly got over it. cannot "systain" blowing engines.  im on 275.30s now and oem tires are 255.30.  i think im more into buying new tools vs woodworking or the car hobby. the more tools we have the more equipped we are for new creations.
