I have a PS420EBQ and the accessory systainer with all the bases and such. In it is also the circle cutting trammel. I have tried to use this on several occasions and it never cuts good circles. The problem is that the metal ruler keeps flexing during the cut and the diameter subsequently changes (grows smaller). I have tried to hold it steady but I keep getting binds that cause the ruler to flex badly ruining the circle. Typically, I am cutting 1/2 or 3/4 MDF.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

I set the pendulum to 2 and let the blade do the cutting. I push only very lightly so the metal ruler has very little criss tension. Never torqued.

There are two possible ways to attach the ruler to the pin in the center of the workpiece, I read in another topic that the behaviour you describe surfaces when you pick the wrong hole (in the ruler end) for the center pin.
