Carvex Cordless with battery set question

Is there a reason why this set is discontinued but the bare tool isn't?  Is festool planning on upgrading the battery or upgrading the entire unit?

My wife wanted to get it for me for fathers day but she didn't pull the trigger because of the disclaimer on festools site.

That's just the old item number for the version that had the 4.2Ah battery.

Otherwise, no change to the tool. No word or indication on any other changes coming.
