caulk and crown molding

Ok so I watched the overly dramatic video... Is that stuff honestly strong enough to hang crown without nails? I'd still use nails but it seems really useful.

Also can it be substituted for caulk on any paint grade project? I've got some wainscoting to finish coming up at my house and would give it a go.

I'm returning to a job to do some more work next week.  On this job we did all the plaster coving
It was all stuck on with fix-all only. In places nails were tacked just bellow and infront  to make sure it didn't move while the glue was going off fallowing day all nails were removed.

It's heavy stuff so far no cracks nothing..... Wait I should check next week before I say all this really lol. It's been up for more than a year or two I think so.

If it all still looks good I'll take some pictures  [sad]

The video is terrible for one the gun he's using is totally wrong for a thick adhesive like that.  It would be hard on the hands and the gun will likely fail and fall apart after a few uses.

I use that exact gun and it works just fine. It is indeed harder on the hands than standard caulk, but nothing major.

Two you cant use this type of glue for sealing around sinks, baths or anything like that because it doesn't stay white because it's paintable it has a non smooth/shiny surface so dirt is attracted to it. Might look nice for couple days lol.  Plus don't know bout any one else like but this stuff isn't as easy as silicon to smooth out it has the tendency to drag and smudge which isn't a problem when painting.

Yeah, I prefer to stay with silicon for that too.

The Hybrifix is strong enough, though it depends on the materials you want to glue. I've never used it for crown.

Yes, it is very suitable for that. I mostly use it outdoors though, because that's where you really can profit from it's durability. Indoors acrylate caulk is often good enough.
