I use the Leigh D4R and love it.  It has an 8mm bit and I use the colars to adjust to 1/4" in my PC.  One of the problems I've been having is if the bit is not dead centered in the colar, it throws the joint off a hair.  I've used a cone and adjusted the plate to get it there but it will not hold and thats very frustrating.  I'm considering the Festool Router with the drop in plates.  A question, do you have the capability to adjust and center the colars? Anybody used the Festool router the the D4R and can comment?  Thanks

My festool to date is the Domino, CT33e, and the Kapex.

Those cones are not the most accurate way to center. A single machined centering pin is much better.

What exact router and exact centering pin and guides are you using?
Are the bits brand new and shaft straight?
Have you tested the run out of the actual router itself?

I have heard guys having even bigger problems using the Festool router with that jig, the info is on this forum somewhere
