Centrotec Dilemma

I really want to purchase the Centrotec set but already own several bits plus the Imperial bit set.  If I did not already own the bit set it might be a no brainer!  Is anyone else in this position?  Also, why not offer a choice to have either the set as it comes or to be able to swap out the bit set for the Forstners (with an upcharge, of course [scared])!  Is there a market for used bits and accessories?

Regards!

I opted to buy the Centrotec set and the Zobos. It just so happens that you can pull the brad point set and black foam piece out and slide the Zobos right in. I have a mini systainer with metric brad points plus common use bits for quick jobs and now the full Centrotec set for the big jobs. Works great for me. Now the only issue is what to do with an extra set of imperial bits, sell them or keep them as spares [big grin]

+1 for swapping out extra bits. I bought the Centrotec set when it first came out in Europe, which included a metric set of bits. Later I bought through the FOG a new set of unwanted brad point imperial bits and swapped the boxes in the centrotec set. I think the set is an excellent product, and there is usually a market for unwanted bits.

You could always buy an empty t-loc with the inserts and fill it with whatever you wanted ad hoc, but the set is such an economical way to start that it doesn't really make sense.

well, those imperial bits fit quite nicely under the left hand tray in the long skinny spot... don't rattle or anything.
