Making the move to Festool's battery platform.  Just bought the CSX 18 and am looking for a centrotec pocket hole bit in 3/8".  I have the Massca pocket hole jig.  I see Axminster has one from UJK.  Is that the only one or are there others out there?

Also, I'd like a longer Torx 20 bit (I have a bunch of Torx pocket hole screws and like those better than the Kreg square screws).  I see Snappy makes a longer centrotec square bit but not Torx; I only see that in 100mm from Festool.  Anybody know of one?  I'd prefer to use my drill vs impact driver for pocket hole screws.

Thanks

I have not come across a Centrotec bit for drilling pocket holes.

However I use the Festool 100mm bits for driving pocket screws. It is long enough on the C12 that I use.

I really like the Centrotec chuck for driving pocket screws. Removes the chance that the spinning chuck will contact the surface.

ok thank you.  I think I will buy the Axminster bit and then try to drive with the 100m bits.  One of the reasons I got the Festool drill was on my Dewalts (esp with pocket holes) the tight chuck became loose and the bit would fall out.  Should not be an issue with Centrotec, but I have to get all of the right bits.

You can use a hex ended pocket hole drill bit in the BHS 60 CE.  This locks it into place and gives you Centrotec flexibility.

However, (at least the ones that I have) are a little shorter than the standard Kreg bits, but I'm still able to use them. Worse case, you the Festool extension bit on them (which negates the need for a centrotec chuck of course).

And for that matter, you could just put a kreg bit into the BHS 60 CE (https://www.festoolusa.com/accessories/drilling-and-screwdriving/bit-holders-and-bits/bit-holder/205097---bhs-60-ce)

ETA: Oh, they make a LONGER one now!.... (grabs his credit card)

I've used the long Snappy Centrotec #2 Square/Robertson bit for many years now for pocket screws.
