I am sure this here somewhere but how do you remove a lid from a systainer. Wanted to change the attic lid out.

Thanks!

A sys 1 doesn't have the support bar in the back all bigger systainers have. With the sys 1 you can simply use a rod to hammer the pin out from the inside.

With bigger systainers the support bar is in the way. You can use a needle nose pliers to wiggle the pin out from the top. If you're new to this, this needs some getting used to. Don't be too afraid to damage the pin, you can order them new from Festool for around a dollar.

I have also recently found that  for Systainers without support bars (or second pin from a support bar version) that a smack on the inside with a mallet will pop the pin right out with practically zero damage. Just be prepared to catch the pin.

Well I grabbed a dead blow mallet and hit the pins from the inside. It was really easy  they do go flying across the room"

Five minutes and I had swapped the lids. Thanks for the help!
