Another project photographed. Since all of my shows until September cancelled and I’m concerned about the rest of the year [sad] have to get some stuff up on the website.

Cherry, welded salvaged steel base, finished with clear Osmo Polyx. Lots of nice texture on the cut lines on the base.

That’s really beautiful Ron. Now when I go looking for wood I’ll need to pick a short split!
Thanks for sharing.

That's nice Ron...I don't know which side I like better.  [big grin]

The rough looking front with the tie straps and the rough torch cut edge on the base...OR...

The absolutely pristine rear with the smooth edge on the base but interrupted by the welded mounting bracket.

I wonder what flush set flat head cap screws would look like instead?

Are there some bumpers or felt pads on the bottom of the steel base?

Thanks folks.

Yes there are stick on felt circles on the bottoms of all the bases. Keeps the steel from scratching up stuff.

I just ordered and got some stainless flat socket head screws so I may try those on something.

I use those on some small night light like things. These are fastened from the bottom. So I need the counter sink for clearance.

Thank you Richard. I’m redoing the website to allow for shopping online but it is still up in its current state

I absolutely love spalted maple. It doesn’t make any sense but that’s where love ❤️ intervenes.
