I finally finished my Cherry Hutch that utilized the domino exclusively for the joinery were required.  I used a bunch of them too.  The project was the justification (thats what I told the wife) for the purchase when it first came out).  I also used the kapex, T15 (attach top) and ETS 150/3.  The finish is one coat of waterlox sealer and 3 coats of waterlox satin.  The glass is seed glass (the wife does stained glass) and was cut from a single sheet in series to ensure it flowed with the entire piece.  While I admit that it looks fantastic and looks like glass from a long time ago, the thickness varied greatly resulting in each strip for holding the glass in had to be thicknessed custom what a pain in the arse.  Anyway hardware is victorian reprocution except the door catch with is an original antique that I acquired from E-bay.  It was a blast but dang I'm glad its over.

Very nice! Great design + execution. Love the grain on that crown, nice depth.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks on the comments on execution.  Desighn credit I cannot accept.  It is from plans from Taunton with a couple changes.

Bones,

Great work!  I love everything about this.  The beadboard, the moldings, the glass...  WOW!  I really like cherry wood.  Unlike some of the other hardwoods, it is relatively easy to work with and always looks great regardless of what it is finished with.

Dave & Neil thanks for the kink comments.  It's by far the biggest thing I've attempted.  I do love cherry and the Domino made this project a pleasure. If you can hit a pencil line you're in business.

Thanks for the comments.  I had a bunch of pics but due to the size limits could only do a few.  I'll post some more.

Bones,

Would you explain why the mullions are made the way they are.  It looks like there is a strip of cherry inlaid in them.  Great job btw.

Wow, those are even better pics. That is amazing. That is going to be around forever. Seriously, everything from design to craftsmanship to details. Some day I would like to have the skills to come even half way to something like this.

Thanks for the comments.  I'm just a hobbyist that spent a lot of time learning and made a lot of firewood in the process.

That's a picture of the interior of the door.  Those are the strips that are holding the glass in place. The doors were done with the somerfield glass door set and that was the first time I used the set.  Here's a link to a review I did when I used them

bonesbr549, that is really fantastic. Got a picture of it with the doors closed? If it's not much trouble, I think that would be a nice shot too.

I got one more

really nice... I love the bead board on the back

Thanks.  The original plans called for a painted back.  I took the plans to my wood supplier and he got into the project as much as I did.  He suggested I go with the real stuff and I'm really glad I did.  He made the boards with a Williams & Hussey Molder.  Great stuff
