Here are a few shots of my new to me van with shelving to hold systainers and mft/3. Made of 1/2" birch ply to try and keep the weight down, notched the bottoms to allow sheet goods to lay flat when empty, sheets will stand up against the shelves if I need to.
[attachthumb=1]
The left shot shows where 4 sys 3's sit on the bottom shelf, 8 sys 4's on the middle shelf, 6 sys 2's on the top then levels, 55" and 75" guide rails and mft boom tube for the vac.
[attachthumb=2]
The right side has the mft/3 with area on top for some bessey clamps, above that is the 106" rail.
[attachthumb=3]
The next 2 shots show the clip that hold the mft/3 in place, 1st with it down then up to remove the table, I reinforced it with a metal L bracket for extra strength. In the down position it keeps the table forward which allows it to catch a 1/2" lip which stops it from falling out, with the clip up you pull the table back which clears the lip and the table can be tipped out.

Might be hard to see here but the table is pulled back to clear the lip.

Behind the table is where i keep the accessories like the ts 55 shelf, guide rail, extention table etc.

How are your shelving units attached to the van?

Peter

There are several L brackets on top and angle plates on the floor, I could get some more shots later. How do I make the photos small in the post so they get big when you click on them.

Side door shot shows the area for the 3 systainer carts, the left one has 3 sys 1"s with the removable plastic inserts for fasteners, center one holds the compressor and nail guns, right one has a sortainer on the bottom for drill bits with a sys 3 on top for my makita impact and drill with batteries.The shelf above is just the right hieght to stop them from tipping over.

Nice looking setup.  And very well thought out.  [thumbs up]

If it were mine, I would consider installing T-track along the face of the shelves/uprights to accept tie downs that can be placed as needed.  Just a thought.

I have racked my van out for systainers.  I have two sliding doors and I have altered my racking finally 2 weeks ago after a long time saying I was going to change it a bit and now I can get to one half of the racking from the other side door.

which gives me a panel to put things in front. I just recently got the MFT3 setup and was thing where I could put it infront of the panel but unfortunately its wider than two shelves so it comes infront of the 3rd. The 2rows are accessible from the other door but the 3rd one isnt so I would have to move the MFT to get to the systainers.

Now looking at your setup where your MFT3 is stored its a perfect solution for me and I think ill steal your idea.  I love where you have your accessories stored behind.  I have them all in a  systainer 4 at the moment

cheers JMB

I"ve been thinking of some sort of track system, once I get a few more jobs done I`ll have a better idea of what kind of system I might need

I keep all the loose stuff like quas dogs and clamps in a sys 1, you can`t see it the picture but there is a rain gutter shelf to hold them.

Heh, heh .........  That's okay, Johnnny -- or, should I say Johnny -- it took me much of my early childhood to get my name right!  [big grin]  And my last name isn't any better than my first.
