Frank posted some bi-plane shelves in the projects with kids forum.  Here is a set of bi-plane bookends I made for a friend's new baby boy.  Largely scraps from the cut-off bin - maple, walnut, and red oak.  Three wheels and wooden body complete the detail.  Two brass strips complete the base to prevent sliding when loaded with books.  Spray poly finish with 0000 steel wool between coats.

I have a Sketchup file for those that may want the dimensions.  PM me if you are interested.  File is too large to post here - about 350K.

Made with Festool 1010 router, Domino, Drill and Sanders.  The wood was cut on table and bandsaw - the final pieces were a little small to try to cut on my MFT with circular saw.
