What brands would you guys like to see available?  It's an alien landscape to me / us.  Would love to hear some feedback.

Sean.  I have been using Stanley Sweetheart 750 Series Chisel for about 7 years now and I find they hold an edge and stay sharp for a long time.

Yes, I have a couple of  recently manufactured Stanley Sweetheart chisels as well, and I agree with Sal.

I saw another German brand at my German dealer last month, but didn't have time to look deeper. Will do so in a couple of weeks while I'm there with family.  Let you know.

Another chisel brand to take a look at is Narex.  Although the Narex brand is association with TTS, the hand tool Narex isn't.  They seem to have gotten good reviews.

When it comes to hand tools I tend to stick with the 'boutique' brands: Blue Spruce, Lee Nielsen, Harold and Saxon.

If I were buying more chisels I would like to see more Veritas items stocked state side.

+ 1 on Blue Spruce, I have their bench chisels and a few more of their offerings. I'm looking into getting a good set of Japanese chisels.

I agree with Sal and Frank...the Stanley Sweethearts are good. I also really like Irwin Marples for the nitty-griity. For fine chisel work, I love Sorby chisels...great balance, sharpen nicely, and hold the edge.

Difficult to determine what to carry for you guys....  Have had my eye on this space for some time. Planes as well. Cannot get lie Nielsen or veritas (distribution rights).

Just go all German, British, or Austrian.  You'll be establishing yourself beyond Festool and be the go-to guys for European high-quality tools!  Two Cherries, my pick for chisels!

Anyone with experience using Swedish chisels? Not sure who even makes them anymore.

"Ci fall" is the last standing firm in Sweden making chisels. But to be honest they are not that good. If you get a hold of vintage EA Berg chisels you are set for life.

Snap-on bought the last big Swedish tool maker and destroyed it. Moved all fabricating to China. Great shame.

Thanks. A little bit of googling isn't finding a Ci fall retailer in the US and their website is weak. I'll hit their e-mail to see what they have to say.
