You buy next. Thanks

If you have something already I'd wait to "replace" it with festool just because. I would because of that vote for the rotex. You didn't mention it or something similar in your list so that would make logical sense to me

My next purchase is an RO125 if that helps you any. I work with a lot of pallets and cheap/free wood and that would make it a cinch to clean that stuff up.

It really depends on what kind of work you do.  I started with a RO125 moved up to the RO150 for finish carpentry.  For furniture, I now prefer the ETS sanders.

Upgrade your jigsaw and buy the Carvex PSB 420.

I had a Metabo Jigsaw for several years and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I tried a Carvex PS 420 at one of the demo days and immediately noticed a huge difference-less vibration, straight cuts, less chip out.. I wasn't in the market to spend a dime on tools at the time but bought the Carvex and sold the Metabo. It was a great upgrade. I don't use it very often but when I do, it's a pleasure to use.

RO 150. I can see no advantage in the smaller sander. Use it for leveling after glue ups to polishing.

Rotex, assuming you have a Domino, if not, a Domino is a must have IMHO.

I never purchase tools to "improve my kit". I look at what I've built, building now or would like to build and think which tool would contribute to my efficiency/quality the most.

Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

Choosing one is tough since the vac is on the list. Going strictly by your list, only choosing one tool, and taking into account the other tools you have  ..... then RO125. But,    I would actually go with the RO150 and the CT48.  Because even though adding a new tool would be good, you will want the vac for everything. Especially a sander.

Edit-    Scratch the CT48. I missed in your list that you already have a CT36.  RO125 or 150 it is then.

I have underlined what you already have and used that to cross off what you do not currently need.

If you do not have a finish sander then I would get one before an RO-series sander.
Assuming you have a compressor, then the lex can make sense. (Although I like what little I have held of the ETS EC, and I got a Mirka - which is the closest to an electric version of a LEX.)  And I have not used or held a LEX.

If you drill then the Zobo are great. I have a set and have nothing about them I do not like. Not a thing, they are lovely in every way... Providing you have a need for them.

Usually I let (or I try to let) what I need dictate what I get next...
So...
I got a CT26 first for cleaning a mould issue.
Then I got a used DX93 corner sander for a concrete floor's corners.
Then I got Zobos for some hole work.
Then I got an MFT for clamping and sawing.
Then I got centrotec as I was planning on a getting a drill. I am not convinced that I like it.
A Sortimo (tm) box could be more worthwhile and using the standard 1/4" bits rather than the 6-mm which only fit in the FT gear.

Occasionally I get a tool which I already have (e.g. jig saw), but that cannot be defended as wise in most cases unless one can show an improvement in 'quality of work', or time savings.

What you are doing, or intending on doing, would help to provide advice about which tools make the most sense in the near-term.
Without that it is all just passion and opinion.

In my first reply I had missed that you already have a CT36. So skip the CT48 and go with a Rotex.

Thanks for the response(s)!

this was my first post on FOG. Every time I purchase a Festool, the price intimidates me. After I make the purchase, I am grateful and realize that the money is well worth it, every time! Can't wait to make my next purchase of a Festool product.

In that case then you should get the Carvex.  [wink]
