chop saw laser add on

hi all
i got an email from rockler .i showed a list of tool accesories . one was a laser that is put on the arbor of the saw and as the motor spins it starts up

This is the blade washer replacement made by Irwin. I have one on each of my Miter Saws 10' and 12' versions..
Once you get used to it it works well. I have had them on now for about three years.
Actually got mine at Home Depot

Some saws may require a slight modification.  I had a brand new PC SCMS and I needed to change something but I can't remember exactly what it was.  So I returned the laser because I did not want to modify a new saw.

I remember looking at these a few years back but opted out as I did not like the idea of lining up stock to a spinning blade.

Harry:    I wonder how many times you have lined up a pencil mark to that spinning blade  [smile]  , I don't know I found for me this works great....
