I have a standard cleaning set for my extractor and 36mm hose. But i don't want it to  get blocked with wood chips because the carpet nozzle has a small entrance.

Which of the sets has a larger capacity?

Does the Festool Cleaning set for industrial use D 50 GS-RS  CODE: 454770 fit the D36 hose?

Or can  i buy: Festool Extension pipe D 50 VR-K 2x  CODE: 440412 and Festool Floor nozzle D 50 BD 370 CODE: 452909

So basically does the D50 accessories fit D36 hose?

regards John  [unsure]

I can't imagine many people wanting a set that was designed for a hose as large as the 50mm. Although Rockler here in the states keeps pushing their units that work with the standard 4" diameter hoses for shop clean-up.
I have yet to get a clog with my 36mm hoses, but I'm not asking it or the vac to handle really large sized debris/chips either.. [embarassed]

No, they don't.

D50 accessories need a hose with two of the same vac-side fittings. See pic below of D50 hose.

Only way the D50 accessories fit the D36 hose is if you replace the tool-side fitting with a vac-side fitting, which doesn't seem so practical to me.

Yes, thanks for your comments. It's not the 36mm hose that's the problem, it's the small hole in the nozzle of the the standard set which I have.
Festool do not indicate the opening size of individual nozzles so it's difficult to establish which one I require. The size of the wood chips aren't massive but tend to get stuck at the nozzle.
I'm very happy with the 36mm hose, I prefer it to my 27mm hose so I made a short reducer for Rotex sanding etc.
I don't want to go to 50mm hose that would be too big.

Perhaps a different nozzle then?  I find that Meile nozzles work well with Festool hoses if there's something different about them that I prefer over the Festool nozzles that came in a cleaning kit.  As for floor brushes/ nozzles, I have the Trademans Kit if I remember right, but also bought a single floor brush that I think comes in the Industrial or Workshop kit normally, and which has wheels on the sides of it to help roll it along on a floor. One of our FOG people had recommended it to me over the stock floor brush that my cleaning kit came with.
I haven't gotten anything stuck in that floor brush so far.  [cool]

Having the same set as the OP, I find the problem occurs a lot with hand plane shavings and large chips, so I prefer to sweep everything into a pile, use a dustpan and brush to dump it all in a bin, and then vacuum up the rest with the Festool floor brush. Almost as quick and saves a lot of bags too.

I have the metal cleaning set. They call it the workshop cleaning set or something, 4 stainless pipes and a beefy floor sweeper with 36mm hose. I find this quite hard to block up and have accidentally sucked up a few rags and stuff with it.
