Festool seems to have listened to my complaint that the brush is missing from most cleaning sets.
Et voila;

The D50 set got changed to AS hose.

EDIT: Corrected two language errors.

Well that's good. Should have always had the round brush.  Too late for me since I already bought three over the years.

I bet that AS hose is now in the D50 to help use up the old style hose.  Regardless it is a nice upgrade.

It is good they included the round brush now, it is my most used brush, probably 80%. But a bit odd they then chose to ommit the T piece. You need all of them in one kit.

You know what a real DIY-er does to fix that: shorten the broad T piece that is in the kit. : )

Well, I have those left over.. since you get them when you buy the set of the three small ones (round brush, this upholstery thing and the crevice nozzle). The brush wears out too, or breaks, the others don't. I found a unbranded version brush of €2.. gotta buy and test that.

Anyway, still buy the set of three, but now have the round brush in reserve.

But main floor piece also different, so no rubber strips I guess?

The  #577258 can be pre ordered in Germany for €149. Not bad.

He, same... three sets.

Do you think that when they run out of the ribbed D50 hose it will become available in the sleeved version too  [tongue]? It also comes with a price premium now. And I still think the 2.5m is too short, especially since there is no angled D50 piece to connect hose to pipe, requiring more hose length.

I looked at a 4m D50 AS hose on the used market... but that seller didn't even want to ship a hose  [huh]. I guess that is why bids were soo low...

Two FT round brush nozzles for me + one from an old Foma vac. They are the same though, becoming slightly untidy in their hair after a while  [big grin]

Then, I got one one these (below) with a buy of some used Festool vac and accessories. I simply got another one new, I find this more useful, better reach into tight spaces, and can be twisted to an angle other than straight.
Worth a try:

Edit: Some more explanatory images: The brush insert itself can be removed, either for easier cleaning of the bristles, used as a helping brush, or the nozzle without the brush to reach into narrower spaces.

Yes, that one is very useful too. I have one too since a while. Was on my 'to buy list' since forever, but then the normal brush didn't work nice in between ceiling and floor and I bought that one.

Yeah, I've found this one super helpful since I got it last year.  Didn't even realize the brushes could be removed and just the nozzle employed -- will have to try that.

Hohoo.

These four sets aren't just new... they completely replaced all the previously existing sets.

The old style floor piece that could be reconfigured for sucking up water disappeared from the catalog too.

So these four sets completely replace the previous 11 in the preceding catalog.

I bought that universal brush to go in my cleaning set pretty early on. It is my most used, other than the floor nozzle.

Yes, this is probably my most used attachment for clean-up, followed by the universal brush.

If you want a better brush get the Miele SUB 20.

The rotation on that thing is too easy for shop use. Yes, I own one. It's very nice for some applications but it's more geared toward delicate furniture and household use.

Yes the rotation of the cuffs on the SUB 20 is too easy. I use tape to keep it in position.

Both the 27 and 32m hoses fit. There is a 27mm neck within the 32mm cuff. I like the fit of the 32 best. I

32 > 36

I didn’t check the actual diameter of the Festool hoses but the medium sized (smaller than the big 50mm? Hose) Festool mesh hose (again probably the wrong term, just mean it’s not the ribbed hose) fits the SUB 20 very well.

It's really about the hose end, and those are still named "27" or "36". The diameter of the hose itself doesn't really matter, the size of the hose end is what matters.
