Cleaning threshold plate

Wondering what you fellas use to clean a pretty ugly rhreshold plate?

I purchased an Autosol product from Lee Valley and it worked well but I haven't cleaned a threshold.

If this was my project, I’d start with Windex and a toothbrush...then again, I start every project with Windex and a toothbrush. [tongue]
However, if this is an anodized finish, the Windex may start to strip the anodization.  [crying]

So to be safe start out with soapy water and a tooth brush and go from there.

I'd start with a good soak in Simple Green, then attack it with a stiff-bristle fingernail brush.
