Cleanup kit connections

New to this forum and Festool.  I was gifted a 9 year old CT MIDI & Mini, both.  Just acquired a Compact Cleaning Set and need help with the parts to go from each vac to the hand tube on the cleaning set.  I'm using the older style 36mm hose.

Welcome to the FOG. The hose should slip into the hand tube with a little squishing and squeezing.

Can you share a picture?

Which set do you have? Newer? If so, it probably has the twist lock style fitting ends. Your older hose would have the regular smooth outside diameter (with a slight taper) and a ribbed inner. It may not fit as easily is it would if they were the same generation. Should still work, with a bit more effort.

I have both new and old style D36 fittings I use with the cleaning set. Push harder!
