Closing lid on CT 22

When I release the green catch on the CT 22, I can lower the top about an inch before it gets stuck. There's a little spring loaded door on the other side of the extractor that apparently needs to be open for the lid to close. If I stick something skinny in there I can hold that open while lowering the lid and it will close.
Somethings obviously not right. Am I not doing something right, or is the unit broken?

Jim,
I took a look at my CT 22 and found the following:
There is a ramp-shaped tab in the lid, just above that spring-loaded door you mentioned that engages the beveled tab on the top of the spring-loaded door when the lid is lowered.  When I  close the cover, that ramp-shaped tab on the lid pushes the spring-loaded door down and open.  It sounds like that's not working on your CT 22.

Hi i had the same problem with my ct33. I called festool and they  replaced door the problem was solved.
