CMS and modules

Hello dear representatives of Festool! I learned that removed from production system CMS-GE and all modules to it: CMS-TS 55 R, CMS-OF and CMS-PS. In the future I was going to buy CMS-GE and two modules. But now I don't know what to do. Turning to the dealer, I received no response. They said there was no information. I have great respect of Festool products and willing to wait for the updated products. But I don't even know if it will be in the near future. Or I'll have to look for other options from outside firms. I would hate to part with Festool. I know that CMS will not replace stationary machines, but sometimes CMS is very convenient. Therefore, I would like to know whether to expect anything from Festool? Or is it the end of production of such devices? With best regards, Sergey

They're going through some staff changes, as [member=57769]TylerC[/member] is no longer in the role he was before.  But I agree, [member=101]Festool USA[/member] should designate someone to monitor and respond to this sub-board in the interim, especially since they have had a checkered history with keeping up with the questions posted.

Maybe I'll finally get an answer as to why 100 grit Granat isn't available for the RS2 and RTS400 in America, a question I've been asking literally for years without getting an answer:http://festoolownersgroup.com/ask-festool/abrasive-selector-page-on-festool-usa-website/

Something Festool surprised by their indifference lately.

I understand your situation, I was planning a similar path.  With the CMS apparently dead I had to go a different path, I ended up looking at a competitors product and looking into it more decided to go for and and so far am happy.  It's not the same thing, but right now I'm happy with my path.  I think long term Festool doing as they have is the best for me, as I found something else.

This whole situation has lead to a chain of things that has me buying and looking at non-festool stuff in ways I hadn't before.  If this had happened sooner I probably wouldn't have bought the TS-55 and bought a different option.  Much of my plan was based around CMS, with that gone it all changes.

I'm still happy with Festool stuff I have bought, but the course of things has definitely changed.
