Maybe it's me but it seems I can't get the right side of the fence planer with the left anyone else having this issue?

Behind the adjustable fences are some nylon grub screws, these may need adjusting or there may be some dust trapped behind one fence or the other.
Hope this helps, if not post back as to what you have tried so far so we can re-think the solution.

I referred to this in a youtube video starting at about 2.10 minutes in and showed how to correct it.

Top Video RL  [thumbs up]

Shows exactly what I had in mind ( maybe I ought to get myself a camcorder!)  ;D

I like your reminder to reset the fence to zero after use, that can save some expensive errors. Same goes for table saw blades when angled a couple of degrees off ninety!
That one goes down real well in a busy joinery shop!!  [doh]  [censored]  [mad]

Ok I tried that seemed to work.. however -- it's more of a pivot adjustment than adjustment for the surface as a whole... don't make sense to me but I am not a engineer type...

Thanks!!!

Another thing that came up in a similar thread was not to act like a gorilla when you are locking down the fence to the table.  This can have an effect also.
