CMS-GE feather board?

Works perfectley, the thing I changed to your design I didn't use a piece of wood between the featherboard and angle thing.
I could mount the featherboard directley to the t-track, still hovers a bit above the table.

That certainly looks neater than my effort - well done.

Thanks for the great idea Peter Parfitt.
[member=27355]NL-mikkla[/member] How did you attach your featherboard to the rail?
I used 2 small bolts with washers and nylon locking nuts.

Slips on and off the angle guide nicely :)

High James,

Your solution was my plan B.

Not in the shop and no photo right now...
I drilled two small 2mm pilot holes in the fat part of the feather board and simply screwd two woodscrews in, for now it worked prefectly.
If it ever comes loose I will switch to your, more solid, option.

Mikkla

Thanks for that Mikkla
I'm sure yours will last just fine.

Hello,
Thanks everyone for the good ideas here.
I've made a prototype and wanted to share.
Main advantages: (from my point of view)
- Cheap feater board and very easy to make
- Easily adjustable with the knob tightening the T-Track

I will do a second one, longer, with a longer T-Track.
This will extend the "working range" by just using the knob thightening the T-track.

It will prevent the need to use the knob of the whole angle who is a lot harder to play with.

I use JessEm clear stock guides. They work very well. I keep them on my Incra fence but they do work with the CMS fence as well.

Thank you for sharing that bkharman.
How did you solve the compatibility issue between the hex-head screw on the Clear-Cut Stock Guides (designed to fit into a T-slot) to work with the non-standard Festool slot on the CMS fence?

Looks like the easiest fix would be to replace the screw, I just don't know what kind, any suggestions?

Perhaps my CMS OF Module fence is different than yours?

Picture of the CMS slot with with the standard T-Slot screw head inserted.
The CMS slot is too loose allowing the screw to turn inside the slot.

Close up of the same screw head inside a standard T-Slot.
Perfect fit prevents the screw from turning while the clamping knob is being tightened.

Is your CMS OF fence different than what I have?

The jessem guides work perfectly on the cms fence without changing a thing.

Featherboards for the CMS. Easily fixed to the T-slot on the fence for downward pressure or to the angle gauge for sideways pressure.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Using glue clamps to mount featherbords to my Festool CMS-TS-55-R saw table module is annoying. The glue clamps press the tabletop down by 0.1 mm. Thus having each wooden bar to stop exiting at the edge of the table top (bump), I was searching for a better solution to mount the feather boards.

I ended up with this featherboard mount:

PS Peter Parfitt's 1 GBP don't seem to exits any longer. Thus I used Triton £5.09 (GBP) incl VAT feather boards.
