I'm looking at the CMS to use as a router table, but also to see if (at some point in the future) Festool plans to bring the other attachments across to North America for the jigsaw and circular saws? Also, is there a way to attach the GE to an MFT to use the MFT as an outfeed table (more particular for use with the jigsaw and circular saw, although I believe the mounted blade direction is wrong)? Is there any reason why Festool won't allow the OF2200 router on this or is it something that may be coming down the line?

The CMS-GE will not attach to the MFT/3.  It's designed as a stand-alone router table.  It does come with an extension table which can be used as an infeed/outfeed table.  You can also buy a second one to balance the table and have equal infeed/outfeed tables.  Using an extension table as an infeed table will make it difficult to access the power switch quickly.  Just be aware of this.  There are ways of getting around this.

Festool does not allow the use of the OF 2200 because the power switch on the CMS-GE is rated to 13.5 amps, and the OF 2200 CAN draw up to 20 amps under full load.  Under normal circumstances, it does not draw that much current, but it's just not safe to use if the possibility exists to exceed the switch's rating.  That having been said, the OF 2200 does fit the CMS-GE very nicely.  There are ways of getting around this problem, too.  PM me if you want more info.

..and in the rest of the world the OF2200 is used without adverse effects..joost thaying

Regarding other insert plates being brought over to the US - I would also love to see them.  But I am not holding my breath and honestly wouldn't advise anyone else to hold theirs.  So many obstacles to overcome.

I use the CMS and an OF2200 together regularly. It is the 110v version to comply with the bulldoings onsite requirements in the UK. No problems.
If you have the CMS any festool insert will fit and work, they are not directly connected to the power.
As the CMS is the same height as the MFT they do not need to be fixed to each other if your floor is on the level, you can also use the Kapex side extensions as in and out feed tables.
On the subject of the "mounted blade direction" it is possible to mount the TS tables either with the blade to or from the switch end of the table (which has its benefits when using the sliding table, on some tasks)
As the different tool insert plates have no electrical variables nothing is stopping you ordering these from abroad (except possible customs duties) to use as you will.
Rob.
