Many thanks Billy 07801481109

3-Year free shipping to and from Festool service department.
10-Year spare parts availability guarantees long-term support.
1-Month money back guarantee.

Hi Billy!

If you can't purchase a whole router assembly as a single item, you should be able to order individual parts on EKAT. Very few (if any) consumables associated with the CMS, so once you have the appropriate parts you should be set.

EKAT is the festool parts system.  Just do google for "festool EKAT".  From there you can dig thru and find all the PNs for what you need, and work with a dealer or festool to order them.

Thanks Peter
But I can’t seem to navigate the website and the being in German is a bit confusing, anyway I’ll just keep scouring the WWW.
Thanks again

Not-German EKAT

Try this, it should be the UK version, which is not in German.

Looking for used ones is probably going to be your best bet.  The cost of all the parts can easily be double the whole, so it makes just buying even another unit with stuff you don't need, and then selling those parts of be possibly of value.  Someone might be out there with a bunch of modules wishing they had more than one base unit.

Billy, I assumed you were in the States and as Festool never released any of the accessory modules for our use, I figured you just needed spare parts.

As DeformedTree suggests, purchasing those modules in pieces will kill your budget. Best to look for assembled modules that someone wants to move.

The CMS was obsoleted in Europe a full year before it was obsoleted in the US. Up to about 6 months ago, the CMS was still available in the US.

Billy, can you please specify what you at after?
As said, the CMS system is discontinued, although many of the accessories as side table, outfeed table, sliding table etc. are available, and are shared with the Festool CS 50 table saw.

You’re in luck that you are in the UK, as UK and Germany shows up with these from time to time on eBay. There’s these right now in the UK: The last one is just the table, the first one is a complete module, without the table.

Unless the CMS is a cash cow for Festool USA, I don't think anyone expects it to last. They only sell the full blown set now.  It's a good way to sell down inventory they may have had built up globally for making them.

Ya it’s the typical Festool weird deal. In 2019 they announced the CMS demise in Europe, in 2020 they announced the CMS demise in the US. And until about 6 months ago they were still selling CMS units in the states, however they are no longer available.

So the real question is what is or what not is available at the moment.

I thought the cms-ge is still available and advertised as such. They're even planning a Festool Live for it. It's the cms-vl mft/3 that they quietly killed off, no?

This is for the USA.

Is the CMS module a tool or an accessory? I think the Festool warranty etc only applies to tools.

It's a tool. Anything with an SNR is classed as a tool and the modules have serial numbers.
