Hello

I see two ebay listing with complete CMS units using the TS75 insert for sale on ebay. I would like some input on these as for as function and price.

Thanks
Rick

Well I can't comment on their function nor price, but will offer that thee is probably not a warranty within NA for these units due to Festool's non support of this combo in NA.

I have one. depending on the blade and fence its not a bad saw. The fence I have for the CS 50 does take some patience to set up IMO, but it does a good job especially if you want to save space in your shop.

Do you get the side extension table with it? That will increase your cutting capacity quite a bit. Im sure you can get it ordered in from a dealer here in the UK if you don't have one and want one.

I have no complaints about owning one and getting rid of my stationary saw.

Setting the saw up in the insert is simple. Just be sure to tight the jibs on the saw to the insert.

That looks like my set up. I also have the router and jig saw modules to. One cool thing about the CMS is making your own modules to fit it. I made one for my 5" disk/belt combo sander.  The modules you can make for it are endless, just up to your imagination. When your not using them just hag them on a rack out of the way on the wall.

One thing I do is use a half fence. On the fence you have has a extrusion that mounts to it. I use a half fence, works good helps prevent binding. But its all personal preference.

If ya can come up with the router insert between the 2 inserts you'll have a pretty nice set up.

Oh one thing I forgot to mention, the MFT is the exact height of the CMS so you can use it as out feed table, side support etc. Makes for a heck of a work flow

I have that setup in TS75 flavour. I will be getting a slider in the future, but I won't be letting any of my CMS gear go (I tend to keep the TS in the GE base and the OF in the VL).

If you're comfortable bending and crouching you'll probably set blade tilt with the module installed using a magnetic blade angle gauge ... doing something like setting a "perfect 45o" is the most inconvenient aspect of the setup. Blade height is really easy to adjust.

As jobbie mentioned, the rip fence is pretty average [sad]
