I have had a TS55 plunge saw mounted on to a CMS for over a year and recently bought a Midi dust collector, with the necessary hose set with Y-piece and adaptor hose. As you can imagine this added a fair sum to the cost of the saw/CMS combo, but buying a system, I thought it will be worth it, no hassles and everything fits together.
Now having used the dust extraction a few times, I find that the 36mm hose that should fit securely over the oval shaped connection on the clear plastic safety cover (attached to the riving knife) tends to slip off, even before I can set up a cut, never mind do the cut.
The only way to keep it in place, it appears, is the "good old" duct tape... [crying]. I could have saved a lot of money, if I knew in advance I was still going to need duct tape to fix the hose!
Has anyone else had this issue and come up with a more elegant fix? I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks, Peter
