Does anyone know of a suitable adaptor to connect the tool-end of a 36mm AST CT Festool suction hose to a DeWalt 159CFM construction dust extractor?

The reason why I'm connecting the tool-end of the Festool hose to the dust extractor is that the other end (which would otherwise be connected to a Festool CT dust extractor) has to be connected to the adaptor that comes with the Inspire Woodcraft Zero Clearance Dust Collection Throat Plate that is fitted to my Kapex 120. This is why I'm having to connect the tool-end of the Festool hose to the DeWalt dust extractor.

I have the DeWalt connector that comes fitted to a DeWalt 35mm suction hose for connection to the DeWalt dust extractor; what I'm looking for is a connector to go between the tool-end of the 36mm Festool hose and the DeWalt 35mm connector that locks into the inlet of the DeWalt 159CFM construction dust extractor.

Dunno about the newer hoses, but I was able to swap connectors on my old spiral hose, to put a dust deputy in-line. One hose had two tool ends, one had two 36mm ends.

That said, there are many ways to skin that particular cat. Lot of DW adapters on Amazon. That, a rag, and some 5 minute epoxy should get you sorted fast. Put some Saran Wrap over the festool hose first, to keep the epoxy from bonding to it.

I have the same throat plate adapter and used a simple 2.5" Shop-Vac house from the big box store. It fits the Inspire port and should also fit your Dewalt at the other end.

My thought is that it is probably easier to pick up a cheap hose than trying to adapt a D36 tool side connection to a 2.5" port. You should also get additional airflow with the larger hose.

My $0.02.
