CMS VL separation anxiety

I'm looking to separate my two-legged CMS VL from my MFT/3.  I find that with the VL attached to the MFT/3, the table really isn't as portable as I'd like, or need it to be now.  Has anyone attached their VL to something other than an MFT/3 and if so, would you be willing to share your thoughts on the process or some pics of your new setup?  Thanks!

Hi. You know you can buy just the rail of an mft table as a spare part and screw it to a wall or other timber or something or other. Then just attach it to that.

Same, I was thinking that with my VL as well - in the not too far future. The VL is a much better option when using CMS OF, as it is much wider than CMS GE.
If you buy the rail, there’s a lot you can build - simple or advanced, and you’ll keep the compatibility with MFT/3 and other bits that have the FT rail. The rail is available in twin pack 2 metre length each - at least over here.

Speaking of cms-vl, I’d love to find an empty unit. Just the frame and legs. I’m in Washington State if anyone has one.

I believe that the US is one of very few who even got the CMS VL - but only as a kit with CMS-OF. The “VL” would be great as an extension for the MFT/3 as a table only with a blank insert. I don’t get why FT discontinued the stand alone CMS-VL.

A tip: Get the kit and sell the CMS-OF in Europe; it’ll probably go in a few hours..

Thanks awil66 and FestitaMakool.  That seems like the best solution.  I'll pick one up soon as I need to take down the MFT soon.
