So, I made this trash can from a wine barrel a few years ago. Works good, but originally , I had used cut staves inside to form 4 hooks to hold the bag up, worked ok, but if too full the bag would snag on them and tear when you removed it.
It finally dawned on me that could make a nice ring with the cnc and mount it using slightly bent Simpson brackets.
Got a birds mouth bit to cut a nice side groove for the bungy cord to nest in.
Just used MDF , but with a little primer and paint, looks pro!
