Hey Guys if you were following my previous thread on "colour coded" centrotec bits cos I am part blind ......old age I reckon, well one of the fellow Festoolians suggested a site at Etsy where I can get 5mm "O" rings in colours.....WELL HERE THEY ARE...not as bright coloured as I had hoped for but they do the job.

And cos it's such a brilliant idea [big grin] I am selling the rings for $500 each.....that way I can buy more Festool tools quicker  [tongue]

But remember that you owe me HALF, since I found the colored O-rings for you!

Hey Wow...... [scared] oh no!!! Sprung by the man himself....lol  sweet for every $500 I get I'll send you $250......

so all you eccentric multi Billionaires who love working on their Festools as Billionaires tend to do!!!

You can buy a pack lot for a hot price this week for a mere $5,500 USD.....( USD worth more than AUD )

Somehow I don't think they will be big sellers though?

[dead horse]

May I assume it if purchase 10 of them I can get the usual 10% increase in price?

I need another ring with a separate colour code to tell me if I'm holding a long or a short bit [blink]

Great idea!  [big grin]

Referring to Bahco screwdrivers and other european makers the colour-coding should be:

Yellow for flat
Red for Phillips
Blue for Pozi
Green for Torx

I'm holding off on this great deal until you find a solutuion for colour-blind people.  ;) Maybe you got the rings with large print on them telling what colour it is.  [poke]

Well if we are going that far, how about different textures on each for the sight impaired woodworkers.

For texture solution you could take heat shrink tubing. Just cut different lengths and space them in any order you want for the 'texture'. In fact you can get colored tubing as well. It'll most likely stick better than the o-rings.

I was thinking of shrink tubing as i was reading the thread, glad you did the legwork and found them, just need a sourse closer to home. Thanks for the tip.

Doesn't work if you are colour blind I would think? [unsure]

He's working on an iPhone app that recognises the colours and both displays text and speaks the words to describe the bits so that blind, colour blind and deaf carpenters can all benefit from this innovation.
