Hi i have been slowly replacing/upgrading my worn out and old tools lately and I was looking for some advise on a small compressor. I want to use it for senco 18g & 15g nailers and would like it to be small and handy for carrying

Seems the hot ticket lately has been the little Rolair compressor. Quiet and portable. It's what will replace my Emglo eventually.

The Senco PC1010 is the easiest to carry around at 20 pounds and quiet. I'm a lot less happy with my one year old PC1010 than I was with the 5-6 year old one before that. Like the new Senco guns, they just aren't made as well as the were made several years ago. The Rolair JC10 is quieter and not much larger. It has more air output but is almost double the weight. The PC1010 easily keeps up with my 18ga and will run a 15ga for me fine since I would generally only fire 4-5 in a short time.

Another option is this little Bostitch, I don't have it but have seen good reviews on other sites.

Is Husky available in the UK? I've been happy with their compressors, have 2 of them, the smallest is a twin tank 4 gal 1.5 hp 155psi, not too heavy but also has wheels and a pull out handle, model # H1504ST2

Can't find anything about husky. The senco pc1010 is available and prity cheap
How would it keep up with nailing skirting (base board) with a 15g nailer

i have 2 compressors. an aldi one (just for the shop  and pumping wheels etc) and a small 6 liter one that i use on site. i think its metcaff or something like that.
its cheap adn will be replaced when its life is up ( i bought it planing to take it apart and put the tank in a systainer but im still waiting for it to stop working)
it can keep up to my bostitch 18gauge nailer easily doing ceiling boards . my 16 g bostitch nailer (can drive hardened nails) doesnt drain the tank too much. you do need to keep the pressure high thow or the hardened nails wont drive flush .
i find that when im doing skirting i usually only do one piece at a time  so the nailer might only  fire 10-15 hardened nails in one go

i was thinking the same thing.  Any RolAir dealers listening?? would you ship

do you work in customers occupied homes? (is noise an issue)  That is really the strong suit of the JC10, you can hear the radio over this thing with both in the same room.  i switched mid job from a bostitch 6 gal pancake and the first day with the Rolair the customer commented on how nice and quiet the new compressor was!!

Just get a big Atlas Copco unit and tow it behind your work van..... [wink]
Might be a tad noisy though.

Power is not a problem 110 for site work .I have a porter cable compressor that I brought back from America and its worked just fine

happy with this one, pretty quiet and light, can run a framer as well, not sure about availability in your parts....
