Configuring portable workstation with WCR 1000 and hose boom

I would like to configure a portable workstation for shop use, built around the CT 48, WCR1000, and hose boom.  I have many Festools already, but this workstation would be all new components, so I need to make sure I get the right stuff ordered.

1.  Are there any issues with using both the WCR1000 and hose boom on the same dust extractor?
2.  What is the recommended size and length of hose to use with the boom?
3.  Is the standard 13' power cord the recommended cord to use with the boom?

I have this same setup in my shop.

1.  You will need to remove the hooks from one end of the work center as they will hit the boom.

2.  The standard 3.5m 27mm hose works great for an all purpose hose, it will fit saws, routers, and sanders.

3.  The standard cord will be just fine and match the length of the hose.

Also, using the CT 48 will make it nice and stable.

As you can see, I have removed the rotating shelf from the left side of the work center.  It could fit and be left off to one side, but instead I opted to add a second metal shelf on the revers pegboard, and more hooks on that pegboard as well.

Nice setup Ken. I've been thinking about the workcenter for my CT 36 with boom arm. I'd also like to get an Ultimate Dust Depty in their as well. Think it is possible based on some pics I saw last year about this time. Thanks for posting the pic.

In the photo it looks like you have two different hoses connected together.  Can you elaborate on that?

The boom arm comes with a short length of 50mm hose plus a coupling and and a similar short piece of extension cord.  These are used to slew your hose and cord to the back of the vac before going up the arm.  These parts are all included.

I have pretty much the same setup as Tooltown except my boom is self made.  One difference is that I used an Oneida 90% anti-static hose elbow so the hose does not stick out as much as the stock version.  Oh, and use a 36mm hose and reduce it with one of Bob Marino's HOSEADAPTERs.

It's about 5 feet long.  The shortest regular 50mm hose is the 2.5 meter (a bit over 8 feet), item number 452888.
