Hi all, i got 3 components -
1) ct 36
2) a 50mm hose
3) a dewalt table saw with a 2 1/2" dust port.

so i got 1) and 2) connected nicely, now is there any adapter that i can connect 2 and 3 together with a tight fit?

Not to be a you know what  [big grin] but have you tried it? The Festool hose end should fit into the port on the saw.

1-15/16" vs 2 1/2"? but to answer you question, i did. atm, the end of the hose basically just sits at the port. It's still collecting i'd say 80% of the debris from the table saw, but it would be great if the 50mm can be actually connected to the 2 1/2" port.

The reason I asked was that I have a saw that says it has a 2.5 inch dust port but it really is a 2.25 inch inside diameter, which incidentally is the measurement of the outside diameter of the Festool coupler that fits to the vacuum. So the vac end of my hose fits in it just fine. Your 50mm hose has one of those on each end.

any way..... try this adapter from Home Depot. It says it has a 2.5 inch end and then the next step down is 2 inches, which is the inside diameter of the Festool end. So stick it on the saw and then the FEstool end should fit snuggly over the 2 inch section. If it works cut the extra steps off and you're good.

I have a Sawstop Jobsite saw and have not found my CT to be as effective in collection chips/dust from the saw as a cyclone dust collector with a 4" connection. The CT does an OK job, but not as good as I would like.

Seriously?? i haven't looked at the vac side. I'm gonna try that end on the tablesaw side.
