Considering a Hammer K3 - What options do owners recommend?

Question for Chris Barr, and others too.  I see you added a router table to your K3 tablesaw.  Hammer also sells a K3 with a built in shaper and/or router table.  Can't remember the official letter name of this saw/shaper unit and whether Hammer has joined Felder in allowing both a shaper and interchangeable router spindle.  But they do have a unit with built in router now and for the past many years.  Would it be better to just get the combo unit?  Instead of adding the separate router table into the tablesaw.  Or maybe get the combo unit up front and add in the separate router table too.

I’ve never seen an OEM router table for the K3. Interested.

I have the saw/shaper (B3), but I never bothered with the router spindle, because it’s pretty slow.

The Hammer saw/shaper combo is the B3.

I have the Felder saw/shaper KF700S, with a 1-1/4" spindle and the "high speed" router spindle. The Felder router spindle spins at 15K rpm, which is fine for larger cutters but a little slow for smaller cutters. That being said, with 7.5hp the spindle does not slow down under load, so it's 15k no matter what.

My memory is that the Hammer router spindle option spins at 10k rpm, but I may be wrong on that.

Big picture, the router spindle in a shaper doesn't really replace a router table, but it's an excellent complement.

Other users have produced aftermarket router tables that fit in an existing gap in the out-feed side of the Hammer K3/B3 table extension wing.

I find the K3 Winner fence with aluminum round bar the worst. Even the square Basic K3 fence is better.
When you tighten the screw to secure the fence the assembly rotates and messes up your measurement. Upgrade or downgrade!

I have K3 and I am puzzled what screw and how it affects the fence setting. Can you please elaborate a bit more and there may be a fix.

The Hammer k3 has 3 diff fences. The Basic square with cam lock. The winner aluminum round bar with an aluminum fence and screw lock and the upgrade for US market steel tube and cast iron fence with cam lock.

I have the K3 Winner with the short slider, I have a very small workshop area in my garage.  I would like to increase it's ripping capability beyond my current 32".  Does Felder/Hammer make a kit to do that?  Anyone done it?

I went the other way with my KF700SP, I ordered it with the 49" rip capacity, realized how gigantic it was in my shop, and ultimately had Felder send me the parts to retrofit it to the 800mm/32" capacity. That being said, looking at my Felder catalog it appears that the K3 machines are available in a wider rip capacity. I'd reach out to the Parts/Service department and ask if they can prepare a parts list/kit to convert the machine to the wider rip capacity. Will likely include a longer bar, wider/extra wing, measuring tape, nuts/bolts, etc....
