im mindful of the recent questioning of the eligibility rules for the contest
BUT im a judge so i will not be driven or enslaved by them
because these contests are NOT a box ticking exercise
im with brice regarding the need to look at the criteria to enable jigs to have an easier right to a place in the contest
jigs are important in carpentry work, in some cases the job cant be done without one
in other cases jigs
speed the process / improve quality
or increase safety
when it comes to the write ups and photos
im not as up tight as some
i know some people are good with their hands and less able with detailed descriptions and write ups
i left school at 17 and went to a building college because i wasnt up to much with pure academic work
