CONTEST! Win a Festool Blade Bag for helping me with esthetics!

I would just paint it myself.  A light color and call it a day.  You could use store your rails length wise along the panels to give you something nice to look at.

As for insulation r value and IR reflection, which location is this anyway?

"Location: Palm Bay, Florida, USA, Germany, and Nigeria"

A giant sysport so you can look at something nice and wheel it out of the way when needed [eek]

Palm Bay, Florida. It's where my workshop is.
I fly helicopters in Nigeria, no chance to do any woodwork, but I'm always on the lookout for some nice African wood, especially Black Gabon Ebony, and nicely figured Zebrawood!
Germany...no time for woodworking, only time I get to spend with my wife and 6-year old son during a portion of my six-week breaks from Nigeria. ( I work six-weeks on, and six-weeks off) [smile]

I agree with the paint it solution, but how about using 4-5 different colors and paint one different color between each of the metal sections of the door frame structure. I would personally use bright colors, but you could also use paler pastel shades.

An alternative to paint could be coloured adhesive film.

If you go with this don't worry about the prize as Oz would be a waste of postage/courier fees.

Years ago I managed to find a full-width wall mural of an alpine scene which included the Eiger.  I used it in one of the rooms of a house I used to own.  Maybe you could find something in a more appropriate scene that would be more appropriate to Florida.  Given that the one I used was vinyl, it could have easily been applied such that it covers the metal parts of the door frame adding little thickness.

You have a lot of light in the workshop, so I would think along the lines of acrylic plastic sheets. They come in all types of colors and would seal the insulation. The other option would be cork tiles, same thing you can protect the insulation. Decorative metal would be expensive but you can find some at Home Depot or on line.

Commission some talented local kids to execute some "street art" with a Festool related theme. ... or maybe go with something like a scene from an old Batman comic. Just don't be boring with it.

Something from a green lantern cartoon could be cool AND appropriate [wink]
