For the hobby diy guy, how many feet of edge banding would you have to do to make this a reasonable purchase? I am very confident that no matter how many times I handle this tool, I will always put it back down and walk away.
It appears to me that this is about the most specific use tool Festool has introduced to the NA market. I use my TS saws on a regular though limited basis. The same for the Dominos. I have not done any edge banding is over 3 years that I can recall and I do not think I will do more than a hundred feet or so in the next year or two. Even if it takes my 10 hours to do that 100 feet, I am willing to take the time to save that kind of money.
