You're a lucky man, Georg!

So what's your first project?

Festool probably gave a few units out so they could make some promo videos, get feedback etc. ahead of an official NA launch.

Then it is well, when she was placed in the hands of someone who has experience with a monster in the background. Anyway KA - 65 supposedly originated precisely in collaboration with Holz-Her.

I asked to test one when I was doing a very large job. I was told they did not have any.

I guess its...

That can backfire on you.

220/240 version or 120v?
I was going to ask my brother to bring one from Europe when he comes to visit in June.

I wonder if JMB got his home made 3mm banding to work in his Conturo?

Will it run 3mm edgebanding? Interesting......

I can buy common species 3mm banding $120 for 40 8 foot strips or a 328' roll, I'm wouldn't mess around with making my own unless it was some rare wood.

Yes, it will run 3mm. There was a discussion about it running 3mm solid wood and home made 3mm solid wood without breaking.

Yes, buying and using common species 3mm banding is not really the issue, it's when we have a small project don't have the banding or are on location and want to quickly band something we don't have banding for.

Ok, the light bulb finally went on.

Me, I'd be hard pressed to saw uniform 3mm strips even in my shop under the best of circumstances - the Conturo would need to be very forgiving.  [smile]

Relatively simple not necessarily easy with a TS 55 or 75.

Are you using a step-up transformer, or is your shop wired for 220-240volts?  If 220-240V, what outlet system are you using...straight European, or other?

Mine is due in the USA in about 45-60 days. (Coming with my household goods from Germany).  I assumed I would be using a Step-Up transformer, but I'm open to other options. (Also for my Vacu-Sys clamping system)

I'm sure I'll love mine as much as you love yours! [tongue]

Cheers,

Frank

Thanks for the test.
Was it 3mm PVC or solid wood?
