does the conturo work with solid wood edge banding at 2 and 3 mm? . I am only used to iron on veneer edge banding and want to use solid wood up to 3mm. I purchased the conturo,  router and accessory kit today. thanks.

I'm not officially Festool but I looked up the specs on the website and what they have posted there is .5 to 3 MM.

I am jealous and hope you will post about your experiences.

The 3 mm wood depends on the pieces. Medullary grains may split at the medullary rays. Straight grains it works well.

You will not be able to load 3 mm wood into the cassette. 3 mm vinyl is hard to wind into the cassette.

so 2mm will work?

I went out on a limb and stretched. I am a hobbyist that would like to do small custom jobs in retirement.  right now doing moulding in house with kapex.  next is building kitchen.  buying  gear while I have a fixed income.  wish festool would come out with auto coping machine,  PITA.

2 mm will work, again grain of the wood has an affect on how well it flows through the Conturo.

From personal experiance solid wood that you cut off a plank at 2 or 3mm will not work.

Solid wood from a reel (ie actually many thiner layers of veneer stuck together to form a 2 or 3mm solid) will work.
