No connection to this other than I think it is cool.

Not green, but I know that there are members here with some yellow and black tools!

USB charge for phone, etc. from dewalt 18v battery.  What a good idea!  We all have a ton of these batteries around.  We can put em to use in a pinch, or on a jobsite.

Kickstarter project is underway, and ending soon.  This is a gadget that should survive!

For a few bucks, you'll get a device and cable that'll charge your phone or light off an 18 v dewalt battery.

Milwaukee already has that with the m12 stuff. I have the heated jacket that I can plug my phone into and run the cord up to the breast pocket from the  battery pack.

I wonder if this guy is going to be violating some kind of patent, Dewalt already makes a USB charger for their 20V battery packs and I wouldn't be surprised if an 18V one is already in the works and patented by Dewalt.
