Hi,

Hopefully this is in the right part of the forum.

Went to festools (Aussie) site.  Found plenty on the Systainer itself, but nothing on the inserts.  Am looking for the Cooltainer inserts (polystyrene insert).  Or are the Cooltainer inserts called something else?  Normally used for something else?

If one can obtain them as an individual, any idea on price?  Mine already shows signs of wear.  Not a complaint, after all its only polystyrene.

Trying to work out whether it is worth the time & trouble to make myself an insert to fit inside the polystryrene or not.  I use it every day.

The systainer inserts don't show up on the US website either. You have to call support and get a part number and price.

I'm pretty sure they don't sell them as a replacement part, it's a promo item that surfaces every couple of years. I keep a tea towel at the bottom to absorb water and use freezer packs instead of ice, but you're right, it won't live forever. On the plus side, you'll have a sys 4 when it bites the dust.

They don't sell the insert separately. I don't think it would even be worth buying the entire thing to be shipped. It's 60 euros, which is slightly less than here new/complete.

If it isn't listed in the catalog, it doesn't necessarily mean they don't sell it seperately.
I had bought the angle unit for the guide rail, it was in a blister package, because they didn't have the accesory systainer in stock. I wanted to order it later (it seemed handy at the time), but it wasn't listed in the catalog. The delivery time was a lot longer than normal, but I did get it.

Thanks for eveyones replys.

Have found wrapping the cold packs in newspaper great for elliminating the moisure issue.  Ok it wont be as cold inside the box, but I store my batteries in there and the packs stay frozen for longer.

I have a small 12/mains powered car fridge for drinks.
