I dare say 18 for 5.2 was very close to the score at one point [embarassed]

Fact is that being born in the UK and growing up in Oz means I'm usually sad about the cricket either way!

It's not the sort of thing that you come out of the tool closet and fess up to, but I'm imagining that tools direct from Europe is a growing thing here ... Maybe the Ozzie cricket team should take orders before they leave, then we'd at least get some value out of their flights.

Listening to radio.  11.20am - it's all over.

Very, very relieved. 
Was really concerned that Ozzies would pull the rabbit out of the hat.
(Don't really get what's gone wrong - but for sure, don't think the team have done themselves justice).
Wouldn't have been surprised if Ozzies had had last minute comeback; gutted yes - but surprised no. 

That said - haven't the England bowlers done a good job - well done.

Wrt batteries:  assumed no problems with taking them on plane, as tear soaked towels
would keep batteries cool - therefore safe...

I wonder about the oval, a resurgence and a repeat of Lord's? or are the Aussies crushed and we'll get a repeat of TB or even worse?

They better water the pitch all weekend!!!
 
My brother was there today. He was worried it would be all over yesterday but he got to see one hour's play today and the Ashes presentation. England were so dominant the last couple of matches. Hopefully it won't be another false dawn.
 
Woops.  Correct about time.  I had glanced at my (Festool) clock, which
did say 11:40.  Don't know why typed 11:20 - maybe unconscious wishful thinking.  [embarassed]

Forgotten that Oval still play. 
Hard to call how it might go isn't it; so much too take in re' both team's performances.
England will have to 'recover' from all the elation, and, media frenzy. 
Maybe hard to keep so intensely, and passionately, motivated - particularly now ashes secure. 

Still thinking England's performance a bit unreal; as was the Ozzies in a different way.
Really hope Ozzie team put in a solid performance - wouldn't want them to be crushed; unlike
one or teams in the past.

Seeing as so many of them are young and it's all new the positive psychological lift might be more lingering perhaps.
They'll get over the odd beer faster too :)

That's very true, so many former Oz captains were more deserving of a good crushing, it's *almost* a shame it was Clarke.

How time passes - apologies for response delay. 

Couldn't bring myself to think about it - never mind discuss -
I'm 'above' such things - got better things to do... etc, etc. 

And no, don't want to discuss rugby either.  [crying]

Though, through gritted teeth, will ack' ok performance by Aussie team - well done. 
Might even end up World Cup champions...  [bite tongue] 
(That said: just as England well on the turn, coming to the boil, ready to fly -
