I wanted to build such a cross cutting sledge with my new CMS table saw module. However, there is no real guide slot within the table like most standard table saws have.

I tried to achieve with wooden rails on the side mounting (see attached photo). It seems to have enough precision.
With the 5 cuts method for square calibration I get many different results therefore I am circle around the final result.

What would you suggest?

I use the slider in combination with my Incra fence. If you want something more solid, get two sliders and rig something up.

I use the CMS-VL so I leverage options on the MFT.

Let us know how you make out.

Cheers. Bryan.

Bryan, do you mean the "CMS Sliding Table - 492100" with "slider"? If yes, I agree this would be bulletproof in combination with  the Incra fence or my crosscut sledge. Best option but twice expensive would be a second sliding table :-)

Cheers,
Andreas
