Hi new to the forum.

I'm thinking about buying the cs50, does anyone know if/when festool will stop supporting it? I knows its been out for years.
Worried about blades not being readily available for it as well.

Cheers

If you're referring to the cordless table saw (CSC SYS 50), it's only been out about a year, I think. It seems to be a pretty popular seller; I doubt it's in jeopardy of being discontinued anytime soon. When they do discontinue items, it's usually a footnote in an update sent to dealers. So, there's usually not much heads up available to consumers.

The ten year parts garuntee that's part of their warranty may be of interest. Their parts department is super great to work with too. Though, I'm pretty sure that doesn't cover blades.

No, Festool tends to 'disappear' products without warning. But even if they do, they will keep making the blades for a looong time. There are also 3rd party suppliers of blades, so even if they do... these 3rd party suppliers will keep on going.
If you're referring to the cordless [...]
No

The OP is referring to the Precisio CS50 - a Table Pull saw, kinda like the Mafell Erika saw. For crosscut, you can clamp the wood to the table/fixed miter gauge and then pull the blade into the stock. Travel is a bit over 300mm I believe.

Blades have a star cut-out, and since the locking mechanism is by hand, you really need the star pattern so it doesn't slip.

Thanks for the replies
Yes I'm talking about the precisio CS50 - the worry is they wont carry on making the blades as they have a star bore instead of stand circular bore.

Yeah but even if they don't... the 3rd party suppliers will.
Like Festool discontinued the fleece bags for their CTL-22 (~13 years after they stopped selling the 22). But there are still plenty of 3rd party suppliers.
