CSC SYS 50 Flat Top Grooving Saw Blades?

I have been looking for the same thing, only thing I could find is a YouTube video by Peter Millard in England who was able to use CMT wide Kerf blades, 4mm & 6mm. It looks great and would love to be able to use them. However I have not been able to buy the CMT blade here in the US. Will keep looking and if I find a source I will let you know, please you do the same if you find an alternative. Mark Qandil

There's a lot of math to do before I'd be confident that this is safe, Peter Millard's video notwithstanding.

What's the difference in weight - could additional blade mass overload the motor?
What's the safe RPM for the blade vs. the saw motor's RPM?
What effect on motor load will the wider kerf have - could this overload the motor, considering the wood species and stock dimensions I want to cut?
What effect will the extra mass have on the blade brake - could it cause accelerated wear or failure?
Can I ensure that the 20mm step-down bore insert will be perfectly centered in the 30mm bore? (I'd check blade runout with a Festool blade and then check the CMT blade runout.)

There are probably other questions that would be worth checking.

Great questions!

Surely wish a USA source of saw blades could do that investigation.

Perhaps then it might turn into a niche product offering.
