CT-22 vs. CT-33

I got the CT33 because it means less bag changes, and bag cost-per-litre is slightly lower - although whether it's low enough to make up the extra cost of the 33 over the 22 would depend on the life and usage of the unit.

Based on today's prices, you're looking at about a $.07/liter lower bag cost on the 33, which means that when you buy your 28th bag (921.6 liters - your 6th pack of 5 bags) you'll have made up the extra $60 you spent. However, you would have had to change the 22's bag 14 more times during the same use, and let's say it got clogged twice because you didn't change the bag in time, but you changed the 22's bag 20% earlier than necessary the next two times after each clog because you didn't want to spend the 8.7 extra minutes required to unclog it, based on a bag change time of 2.1 minutes and an hourly rate of $50/hour, um.... I think you owe me $2.50.

Edit: clearly I put the clogs on the wrong line.

If you're using a cyclone, and as a result changing the bag every 6 months, the 33 difference in price will be made up in 14 years!

This and other threads have convinced me that the upgrade path for my CT22 is to add the Clear Vue cyclone.

Nice graph, Sean.  And maybe you have to much time on your hands, but you clearly belong on FOG.  8)

all the companies call those lifetime non disposible bags.  if that is really so why do the sell replacements.  all bags fill up and become inoperable.  depending on you age you will have to by several lifetime bags.  plus cleanin those perment bags is a dusty operation.
