A newbie to FOG. I am 61 and getting back into woodworking as my retirement hobby. Have the RO90 and CT26. Kapex and 2200 router are next. Also have the excaliber 21 scroll saw and Bosch 4100 table saw. My question is what do I need to connect my CT26 to the scroll saw and table saw. The port OD on both machines is 2.5" and the I'D is 2.25". I have read that the 50mm 8' hose has the 452896 rotating connector at both ends and will fit. I just want to make sure before I purchase because Rockler told me there is a 20% restock fee if it does not work. Please help.

Welcome to the forum.

Like Tom said (good tip), you can try the end of your current hose that plugs into the CT which is 50mm or roughly 2". You'll likely need a stepped adapter, available at most hardware stores to make the connection though.

Strategically placed rubber bands can also take up some slack in those connections. I think it will fit very snug, almost too tight.

I use a 50 mm hose & CT 26 w/ Long-Life Bag on my DW 735 and it has a nominally 2.25" outlet. It fits real tight but has yet to come out while planing so I'm happy with it.

on my dewalt 745 table saw and my 12"disk sander i use the 1meter section of 50mm  hose from my boom arm. the end directly fits one of them and the joiner (used to join the 50mm to the 27mm hose on the boom arm) fits the other.

ANY cheap Craftsman or Ridgid shop vac hose will go from your CT to the tablesaw or scrollsaw with NO adjustment or adapters.

Why folks spend $$$$ money on Festool hoses for stationary-type uses I'll never know.

I tried the vacuum side of the hose that comes with the CT26 on the Bosch 4100 and the excaliber. It fits both. So now my question is does the 50mm hose come with the same size connections at each end? Thanks for all of your comments.

Indeed YES, the Festool 50mm hose uses identical connectors on either end.

By the way, the Festool '50mm' connector and the receptacle in the CT's conform to an international standard. Using this standard is optional for vacuum manufacturers, but most do use the standard.

It's like tubing as opposed to pipe...

The 50 mm, or 36 mm, or 27 mm refers to the nominal flow ID, not the fittings.

The ends of both the 27 and 50mm hoses will fit directly inside the dust port on my Bosch router table. They certainly appear to have the same dimensions on the end of each hose.
