Hi Festool
I'm wondering what is going on with my Ct26 vacuum. It about 3 months old and I have 2-27mm hoses connected together with Festool anti static coupler. While cleaning my shop after my project I use an Festool brush to vacuum my Laguna 1412 band saw. While doing so I find that my ct26 will slow down for just a few seconds?? All products used are Festool anti static hoses and couplers. It doesn't seem to do that anywhere else. Any idea on what's going on??? To be clear the band saw is not running while I'm doing this. Any insight would be appreciated I don't want to damage my ct, it's the only vacuum in my shop.

You mean to say it only slows down when cleaning the Laguna band saw? That would be weird.

Yes, it is weird, it's like when I brush along the doors of the band saw it like someone has turned down the suction for just a couple of seconds. It very weird, doesn't do it when I clean off my table saw or router table???

For troubleshooting purposes, could you run the CT from a different circuit and repeat?
Gave that a try on completely separate circuit the same result?

Is there an eery, green glow from the bandsaw when the CT suction gets close?

If so, it must be...
Tommyknockers.

Tom

For those who haven't read it, Tommyknockers is a pretty spell-binding novel by Stephen King.

Well, I'm stumped. I guess your bandsaw doesn't like to be vacuumed...  [blink]

Unplugged my band saw and problem went away, just thought you would like to know.

Thanks for the follow up. Seems odd. But, at least now I know in case someone else reports the same.
