CT Cyclone vs Oneida UDD

I'm looking so hard at these that I'm going cross-eyed.  I have yet to find a direct comparison of the two, only reviews of each one separately.  Does anyone know of direct comparisons out there?  I know Peter Parfitt  has done videos on both, but not one vs the other.  Thanks.

The dust deputy will be more efficient (less dust gets past the cyclone into the bag) and be $100 less, but it's not as compact as the ct cyclone.

Thanks NiteWalker.  With which cyclone is suction loss less noticeable?

The Deputy performs better.  The Festool has more suction loss.

I have both as well,  I have the UDD hooked up to a CT22 and the CT-cyclone on a mini.    I have used the UDD on the mini and CT-cyclone on the CT22.    In just using them both to collect dust and debris vacuuming floors / worktop, from Kapex, domino , sanders, etc, I can’t say I really notice a difference between them as far as performance.  I am sure there is some but I don’t notice it.

I do notice the form factor as far as height on the UDD, and even the CT-cyclone for that matter.  The Ct-cylone on top of the mini is still taller than the 900mm work height of the MFT and Kapex.  And because of that I have both UDD on the floor behind the CT and the CT-Cylcone under the Kapex (UG stand) with the CT next to that.  So which one depends on your workflow and where you plan to use it.

Since the UDD is not transparent I do tend to get it overfilled sometimes. Its location is behind the MFT and I don’t check it as often as I should 😕.

The CT-cyclone is clear and I can easily see when it needs dumping.

Just some food for thought.

Cost  If this doesn't matter move on to form

Form  Clearly different but if this too doesn't matter...

Performance  DD seems to be a little better and new DD-2.5 is said to be better still

Couple more questions...
Doesn't the DD 2.5 require a larger hose than the cyclone that comes on the UDD?
Also, has anyone ever cut a vertical slot in the UDD dust bin and covered with acrylic in order to view the fill capacity?
I understand the anti-static issues but sure wish they could come up with something practical to make the bin clear or at least have a viewing port.

I use a DD 2.5 in my static workshop setup; the vac end of hoses fit into the 2.5 without any adapters.
